SET UP YOUR ZOHO BOOKS INTEGRATION

Step-By-Step Guide To Connect Your IN2 Account With Zoho Books. Provide API Credentials, Set Sync Preferences, Enable Tax Settings, And Streamline Your Accounting

Let’s get your Zoho Books connected so your transactions and reports flow smoothly into your accounting system. Here’s what we need to make it happen:

Step 1: Provide Zoho API Credentials

Go to https://api-console.zoho.com
Create a Server-based Application using these details:

  • Homepage URL: https://joinin2.com

  • Redirect URL: https://app.joinin2.com/html/zoho

 Once created, send us:

  • Client ID

  • Client Secret

Step 2: Share Your Zoho Organization ID

Open your Zoho Books account and grab your Organization ID.
You’ll find it under your account settings or URL — send that over to us.

Step 3: Choose Your Sync Start Date

Let us know when you'd like to start syncing your data to Zoho:

  • From your first transaction on in2

  • Or from today onward

Step 4: Add the Payment Number Custom Field

To ensure clean tracking, create a new field in Zoho Books:
Go to Settings → Payments Received → New Custom Field
Add:

  • Name: payment_number

  • Type: Text Box (Single Line)

Step 5: ZATCA E-invoicing Setup (Saudi Clients Only)

If you're based in Saudi Arabia:

  • Confirm whether ZATCA e-invoicing is enabled in Zoho Books
    ➡️ Check under Taxes & Compliance → E-invoicing

Let us know how you’d like to handle membership deletions with invoices:

  • Don’t allow deletion

  • Allow deletion + auto-create credit note (Recommended)

  • *Manually update expiry + create credit note manually

Step 6: Discount & Tax Preferences

  1. Tax Settings
  • Confirm if your Zoho Books account has VAT enabled

  • Share your applicable tax start date (e.g., 01/01/2022)

  1. Discount Behavior (Saudi Clients Only)
Let us know which of these you'd like:
  • Show item prices without discount (discount won’t show on invoice)

  • Show discount as a separate negative line item (Recommended – requires accounting approval)

Step 7: Confirm Place of Supply

Let us know your Place of Supply as required by Zoho.
Example: If you're in Saudi Arabia, select SA.
Need help? Check out the Zoho API docs – Place of Supply.
