Easily Add Products To Your POS System. Set Categories, Brands, Pricing, And Stock Levels For Smooth Inventory And Sales Tracking
How to Create a POS Item
Whether you're selling water bottles, protein bars, or merch — here’s how to add products to your Point of Sale system:
Step 1: Set Up Categories & Brands
Go to:
Company Settings > POS Settings
Before adding your item (ex water bottle), create:
✅ Category
- Example: Beverages
✅ Brand
- Example: Nestlé or Tannourine
Step 2: Add the Item
Still under POS Settings, go to the Items section:
- Click “Add Item”
- Fill in the following:

e.g., "Nestlé Water Bottle 500ml" |

Item Code |
Use barcode if available. If not, enter something like “000” |

Category |
Select “Beverages” (created earlier) |

Brand |
Select “Nestlé” |

Minimum Quantity |
e.g., “5” – This triggers a low stock alert |
|
Selling Price |
Set the price you’ll sell it at (NOT the cost) |
Optional Item Settings:
🟩 Non-Stock Item
- Enable this for products that don't require inventory tracking (e.g., towels)
🟧 Enable Size and Color
- Useful for items like t-shirts or sports gear
🟥 Disable Item
- If you want to stop selling an item — you cannot delete an item once created, only disable it
➡️ After entering all details, click Add
Step 3: Add Stock for the Item
After creating the item:
- Click on the “Stock” button
- Click “Add Stock”

✅ Select the correct branch before submitting, to ensure it adds stock to the right warehouse
➡️ Click Submit
Additional Stock Management Options:
From the Stock section, you can also:
- Remove Stock – for damaged/lost inventory or corrections
- 🔄 Warehouse Transfers – if you’re moving stock between branches
Where Low Stock Alerts Show:
Once minimum quantity is set (e.g., 5 units), if stock drops below it, alerts appear under the Front Desk Dashboard > Low / Critical Product Quantity
Track Stock Movement
Next to each item, click the clock icon 🕒 to view Movement History — it shows:
- All stock-ins
- Stock-outs
- Transfers
- Date/time stamped for easy traceability
📝 Edit Items Anytime
- You can edit the item's name, price, or settings anytime.
